About Us
Holly (on the right in the photo) learned how to sew when she was 6 from her Mom, who is a wonderful quilter. She worked on mainly up-cycling clothing and cross stitching until she moved out on her own. She moved from the Ottawa area to Toronto to attend the Fashion Arts program at Humber College in 2009, before getting married to her high school sweetheart in 2010. She started working at Z&S Tailors in 2011, and over the next 10 years she would go on to beat her 30 under 30 travel goal, and have 4 beautiful children (who she always brought backpacking with her).

Aside from her obvious love of sewing and travelling, Holly loves fitness, gardening and being outdoors, video games, double dutch and baked goods.

Fun fact: Holly and Meaghan are actually sisters-in-law! Holly is married to Meaghan's brother.
Meaghan's childhood was spent in Sarnia and she returned for college in 2006. She has been sewing for as long as she can remember. Her mom had a vintage sewing machine in the basement when Meaghan was a teenager and she fondly remembers altering and making clothing on it in her spare time.

Meaghan continued to nurture her creative spirit and her sewing abilities as she grew into an adult. It quickly became her passion and she was thrilled to join the Zed & Ess team in 2017 to hone her skills and use her abilities. Meaghan loves getting to work with great friends, learn a little every day, and interact with all of you!

When not at Zed & Ess, Meaghan can be found spending time with her husband, James, and their 2 young boys, Hunter and Logan. She enjoys sewing clothing for her family, reading, listening to podcasts, being outdoors, and loves coffee.
